Rodat

"Rodat is a folkdance of Terengganu. The numbers of performers ranges from 20 to 26 and are divided into 'pelenggok' (12 male dancers), 'pengadi' (eight drummers) and 'mak inang' (four to six female dancers). The basic movements of Rodat are divided into sitting-kneeling, a combination of squatting and standing (performed mainly by male dancers) and standing movements."

assalamualaikum....

hello pappy,

Firstly i think "Rodat" is not a very popular dance because many do not know about this dance. However, "Rodat" seem interesting to see and learn because it needs many dancers. It will be very interesting if i can see "Rodat" dance here (UiTM). Next i suggest u tell us about "Zapin" which is popular in Johor and "Dikir Barat" which is popular in kelantan..I think most of us like to know about the uniqueness of this dance..i hope my suggestion wil be considered..

Woaaa! Rodat is an unique dance, just perfect with its unique name too! Seems like many people involved to perform Rodat dance. Luckily it involves more male than female. For sure, women are not nice to be seen while squatting right? It is not proper I think :D Since it was folkdance, relationships between villagers are surely can be tighten up.

Morning pappy…
I just want to write about beautiful place that I have visited last weekend. Last Friday, I and our group ETR members go to Marang and Kuala Terengganu. We have drop at Pantai Batu Buruk. That is a beautiful beach. At that time, people are preparing for Karnival start today, Sunday. Then, we go to ‘Masjid Terapung’. We prayed Zohor, buy some souvenir and take some pictures. After that, we also go to Pantai Teluk Bidara. This is also beautiful place to visit, it just near to Dungun.

I hope, you will write an article about places that I have mention.

Thank you.

Actually this is the first time I hear the word 'Rodat' but I never see how the Rodat was shown...
Rodat looks like the presenter of State of Terengganu because it only availabe here...
The dance should be promoted so that it will become popular thus intoduce it to all Malaysian..
